I just wanted to thank everyone at the Alexandria Animal Shelter and let you know that Guacamole is doing great.
He likes being out of his cage and is interested in everything that is in your hands. He likes to sit on your shoulder and will stay there all day if you let him. I found that he has a great love for peanuts like most birds do so I got him some raw organic peanuts and he just goes crazy when he hears the bag open.
He only squawks when he is in his cage and he sees someone walk by because he likes being out of the cage. He will fly to your shoulder when you walk by. The other things that I have found is that not only can he say peek a boo which he does often he will also say "Hi" and If you make kissing sounds he will give you a kiss. He will also look inside your top shirt pocket for food. He was showing all kinds of really cool behaviors as soon as we got him home.
He does not care for the shower too much but if you hold your hands under the sink and pretend you are washing your hands he will go down your arm and stand on your hands under the water and take a bath.
